CLINTONVILLE, Wis. (WSAU) — A two vehicle head on crash Friday injured several people.
Few details have been released, but Waupaca County Sheriff’s Department officials say the crash happened at 2:21 p.m. on Highway 45 near Silver Creek Road outside of Clintonville.
The crash blocked both directions of Highway 45. Traffic was detoured to Highways T, O, and 22 for a couple of hours.
Both drivers and one of the passengers were hospitalized, but their identities and extend of the injuries have not been released.
Deputies say the northbound vehicle driven by a 19-year-old rural Bear Creek man crossed the centerline into the path of the southbound vehicle driven by a 40-year-old Clintonville woman. The male driver had to be extricated from the wreckage.
The crash remains under investigation.
The Waupaca County Sheriff’s Department was assisted by the Wisconsin State Patrol, Clintonville Ambulance, and the Bear Creek Fire Department.
