MADISON, Wi (WSAU) The Wisconsin football program had their annual awards banquet this week and Leo Musso was named MVP by a vote of players and coaches.
The senior safety had five interceptions for a team that led nation in picks during the regular season. He also returned a fumble for a touchdown but was really noted for his leadership on the field and in the locker room.
Some other awards were:
Offensive player sof the year- Corey Clement
Defensive player of the year- TJ Watt
Most Improved- Michael Dieter, Ryan Ramcyzk, Ryan Connelly & Sojurn Shelton
Wayne Souza Coaches Appreciaton -Bart Houston
Jay Seiler Coaches Appreciation- Vince Biegel
(The Jay Seiler award is named for the DCE grad who passed away while a member of the Badgers in the 1980’s. It is given to a defensive player and is based on improvement,attitude and willingness to help the program in all areas.
