BATON ROUGE, La. (WSAU) — Officers from the Marathon County Sheriff’s Department Honor Guard have traveled to Louisiana to support three police officers killed last Sunday.
The department announced their trip on their Facebook page. A sheriff’s department vehicle was driven south to honor Deputy Brad Garafola, Corporal Montrell Jackson, and Officer Matthew Gerald, all of whom were shot and killed by a lone gunman on July 17th. The fallen officers were a part of the Baton Rouge Police Department and the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office.
