WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — A Wausau man found guilty of repeated sexual assault against a 15-year-old girl has been sentenced in Marathon County court.
Dennis Moua will serve ten years in prison and ten years of probation for one count of second-degree sexual assault of a child as a party to a crime. Judge LaMont Jacobson also ordered him to have no contact with the defendant and complete a sex offender registry program.
Additionally, conditions of his probation will include maintaining full-time employment or completing nine hours of community service per week and maintaining absolute sobriety from drugs and alcohol.
The 31-year-old was found guilty on the charges after it was determined that the girl was sexually assaulted numerous times during a part in his apartment with around 20 people present.
He will be given credit for over 230 days already served in the Marathon County jail.
Moua is one of three people that were charged as part of the incident. Another man, Ger Yang, will have a two-day trial next month for one count of trafficking a child and child enticement. Officers say he paid the girl, who had run away from a group home, for sex and also participated in a group assault of her.
That trial is scheduled for February 9th and 10th.
