David Kelm
WISCONSIN RAPIDS, WI (WSAU) — A Wood County man charged in a New Year’s stabbing incident has entered a not guilty plea.
David Kelm, 58, is charged with attempted homicide.
A judge ruled there is enough evidence for the case to proceed to trial. Kelm is being held on a $500,000 bond.
A police report says the victim was found walking down a road after midnight on New Year’s Eve, having been stabbed multiple times. He was hospitalized for non-life-threatening injuries. Kelm was arrested at a nearby home in Vesper a short time later. What led to the incident is unclear.
Kelm has requested a new judge.
His next court date hasn’t been set.
