WESTON, WI (WSAU) — If all goes as planned the D.C. Everest School District isn’t going far to find their next Superintendent.
The district announced Monday that Dr. Casey Nye, current Assistant Superintendent of Learning, and Dr. Jeff Lindell, current Director of Student Services, as the finalists.
Both candidates will face a question and answer session on March 3rd. According to a press release from the board, they will have one hour to answer 12 pre-selected questions, which will be determined by feedback gathered from a district-wide survey.
The board hired Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates (HYA) to assist with the stakeholder input components of the superintendent selection process, including the upcoming question and answer session. The group is considered one of the preeminent school search firms in the nation with more than 30 years of executive search and education consulting experience with school systems across the nation, large and small, urban and rural.
District leaders have also launched a website with more information about the candidates and the search process. That can be found at www.dce.k12.wi.us/
Dr. Kristine Gilmore announced her retirement from the district earlier this school year, effective this summer. She’s served the district as Superintendent for nearly two decades.
