STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU-WAOW) — An inmate who walked away from a job in Plover over two years ago has been found and detained in California.
24-year-old Shane Bellinger did not return to the jail in Stevens Point in September of 2014. Bellinger had been convicted of criminal damage to property and was sentenced to four months in jail. His sentence began in July of 2014.
According to the Portage County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, Berringer was caught in San Francisco. He’s currently waiting extradition back to Wisconsin.
