MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — The Milwaukee Bucks decided to sit out Giannis Antetokounmpo with a sore ankle. Without him they couldn’t keep pace with the Portland Trail Blazers dropping a 122-107 game on Monday night at Fiserv Forum.
Portland scored 71 points in the first half and never trailed. The Bucks did have six players in double figures but it wasn’t enough.
Jrue Holiday led the way with 23 points. Jordan Nwora and Bobby Portis had 17 each. Khris Middleton had 16, Grayson Allen 14 and Lindell Wigginton had 11. Newest Buck Serge Ibaka played 31 minutes and had six points and seven rebounds.
The Bucks also announced that Pat Connaugton had successful surgery on his hand and will miss four weeks,
Milwaukee, now 35-23, will host Indiana tonight.
