RED SPRING, WI (WSAU) There was a barn fire early Wednesday morning in Shawano County. It happened around 4am on Morgan Road in the Town of Red Spring.
When deputies arrived the barn was fully engulfed. Firefighters from Stockbridge-Munsee, Gresham, Bowner, Pella, Keshena, and Shawano responded. Sheriffs deputies were assisted by Stockbringe-Munsee police at the scene.
30 cows and 6 horses died in the fire. There are also several dogs and cats that are unaccounted for.
The cause of the fire hasn’t been determined, but it is not considered suspicious.
