STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU-WAOW) — More details have emerged about what may have led to the resignation of the Jefferson Elementary School Principal in Stevens Point last month.
Documents obtained by WAOW TV indicate that Scott Huff was going to be terminated by the Stevens Point Board of Education on December 10th but instead chose to resign on November 30th.
Huff received a letter shortly before then outlining the grievances against him, which included a determination that Huff “violated the district’s policies and expectations in the supervision, restraint, and seclusion of a student, not followed directives from supervisor and failed to respond to calls for assistance, made staff feel uncomfortable.”
Huff said if he was making staff feel uncomfortable, he was not aware of it. Adding that his violation of seclusion and restraint policies were due to “[A] clerical error in submitting of reports due to not being accustomed to procedures.”
