STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) — An evening crash has left a pedestrian injured in Stevens Point.
At 5:34 PM at the intersection of Business 51 and Madison Street in Stevens Point a car going northbound struck a pedestrian in the crosswalk. Traffic was green at the time for the northbound vehicle.
The pedestrian a 57-year-old man from Stevens Point was transported from the scene with significant injuries. The 50-year-old driver was also from Stevens Point.
An investigation is ongoing. Northbound traffic on Business 51 has been barricaded and is being detoured at Patch Street to Dixon Street.
