CHICAGO, Illinois (WSAU) — The Milwaukee Bucks cranked up the defense late and got a big 4th quarter from Jrue Holiday in a 118-112 win over the Chicago Bulls Friday night at United Center.
Holiday scored 16 of his 26 points in the 4th quarter and he, along with Wesley Matthews, Jevon Carter, DeAndre Bembry and Grayson Allen were able to harass Bulls stars DeMar DeRozan and Zach Levine for much of the night.
Giannis led the way with 34 points, 16 rebounds and five assists. Holiday had 26 with eight rebounds and five assists and Khris Middleton added 22 points and six boards.
The Bucks have won three straight and have a record of 39-25. They host Phoenix in a rematch of the NBA Finals on Sunday afternoon.
Milwaukee also got news that injured center Brook Lopez has been cleared to practice five on five with contact.
Lopez underwent surgert on December 2nd to repair a bulging disc in his back and has not played since October 19th. He will probably get that kind of work with the Bucks G League team, the Wisconsin Herd.
The Bucks also said that George Hill might be back next week from his sore neck.
