WISCONSIN RAPIDS, WI (WSAU) — A body was found in the Wisconsin River near Wisconsin Rapids on Sunday.
The Wood County Sheriff’s Department says the body was removed from the water at the Centralia Dam around 3:30 PM after they received a 911 call.
The identity and cause of death of the man found are not known at this time an an autopsy is pending. The body is a white male of undetermined age.
Deputies were assisted at the scene by Wisconsin Rapids and Port Edwards police, the Wisconsin Rapids Fire Department, the Department of Natural Resources, and the Wood County coroner.
No other details were released.
