GRANTON, WI (WSAU) A Granton woman accused of running a meth lab at her home failed to show up for a court hearing on Thursday. 38-year-old Elizabeth Tuggle was later found dead in her home.
A family member says her body was discovered last week. A cause of death hasn’t been announced.
Prosecutors were not aware that Tuggle had died when they appeared in court for a preliminary hearing. At the time a bench warrant was issued for her arrest.
Tuggle and her husband Jonathan were accused of making meth at their rural Granton home with their children present. When they were arrested last June two children, 8 and 11-years old, where removed from the scene. A third child wasn’t home at the time.
Jonathan Tuggle still faces charges in the case. He entered a ‘not guilty’ plea last October. He’ll go on trial later this year.
