UNDATED (WSAU) – Criminal charges have been filed against a man who hid a corpse in a hotel closet.
The victim had overdosed in an upstairs room at the Village Inn in Marathon. The body of Brian Kienast, 28, remained in the closet for months until it was discovered in April, 2018 by the innkeeper.
Daniel D. Allen, a former Wausau resident, was charged last week with felony hiding of a corpse. He is currently serving jail time for a series of drug-related charges.
Allen had been living in a rented room across the hallway. It’s believed that Kienast’s body was moved across the hallway when he was unable to be revived after a night of drug use.
