WISCONSIN RAPIDS, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – If you’re planning to go camping in Wood County parks, changes have been made to the reservation system.
The Parks and Forestry Department has launched an online system, which officials say allows users to check on campsite availability and make same-day reservations. Users can also reserve shelter buildings and purchase passes for outdoor recreational activities.
One of the big changes is the removal of self-registration stations at campgrounds. That means all reservations must be done online or by phone, before occupying a site.
Reservations can be made here at any time, or call (715) 421-8422 from 8am. to 4pm on weekdays.
