STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) — Court officials in Portage County have scheduled an eight-day jury trial for Jason Sypher, the man accused of killing his wife back in 2017.
Online court records indicated the trial will begin on June 24th and last through early July.
Sypher was arrested in August of 2018 near the Illinois-Wisconsin border on suspicion of first-degree homicide in the case. He also faces charges of hiding a corpse, though police haven’t said if they have recovered Krista’s body as part of the investigation.

Following his arrest officials revealed details of a timeline they were able to piece together thanks to security camera footage and the tracing of purchases made by Jason in the days around Krista’s disappearance.
A final motion hearing in the case is scheduled for May 24th.
