WISCONSIN RAPIDS, WI (WSAU) — A single-vehicle crash in Wood County left one person injured and dozens without power late Saturday night.
Officers say the vehicle left the roadway near the intersection of County Road Z and Ross Trail, striking a power pole and taking down several lines.
Crews closed off the road while they worked to repair the lines. Detours were posted into Sunday morning.
The driver was transported to a nearby hospital for undisclosed injuries and is reportedly in stable condition. Officers say alcohol may have been a factor in the incident, though it is unclear if any charges will be filed.
