STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) — Officials with the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point have announced that they will end community COVID-19 testing after this week.
Appointments will still be taken for Wednesday and Friday, May 18th and 20th, but after Friday the testing site at the school’s Science Building will shut down.
Those who need to be tested can get test kits from the US Government or can contact their family doctor. UWSP students can arrange for testing through the Student Health Services office.
UWSP had been offering testing for both students and community members at all three of its campuses in Stevens Point, Marshfield, and Wausau. Testing in Wausau and Marshfield ended in late March. That’s also when testing on the main campus in Stevens Point was dialed back to three days per week.
