WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — The Wausau Center Mall is losing another store as it reopens following the COVID-19 closure.
Women’s undergarment and accessories store Victora’s Secret has announced the Wausau store will close as part of a larger national restructuring.
“As we have experienced the changing nature of the retail environment over the years, the Wausau Center Mall continues to change. Tenants, locally owned and national brands, are addressing their business models and making decisions where their resources are best placed in the COVID–19 environment,” said Dave Eckmann, President of WOZ, Inc.
The parent company of Victoria’s Secret is closing around 250 stores nationwide to cut costs.
The mall was recently purchased by Wausau Opportunity Zone with the goal of repositioning the property. A comprehensive plan for that will be announced in the coming months.
