WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — A woman accused of providing drugs that caused a fatal overdose is facing multiple felony charges.
Jackie Loiselle, 35, has been charged with four felony charges in connection with an October overdose of a Rib Mountain man. Loiselle is facing charges of 1st-degree homicide from delivering drugs, manufacturing, and delivery of heroin over 3 grams, and bail jumping.
Police were called to a Rib Mountain residence for a medical emergency on October 10th when a man found his son unconscious and not breathing. According to police when the victim was found he was cold to the touch with a needle in his hand.
Police found that the victim had been battling addiction for several years. An autopsy showed his death was an acute toxicological fatality that involved heroin. Police also discovered conversations between the victim and Loiselle who purchased heroin from someone else before selling it to the victim.
Loiselle is currently being held at the Marathon County Jail on a $75,000 cash bond. She will return to court on February 28th for a review hearing.
