PLAINFIELD, WI (WSAU-WAOW) The driver and child involved in a fatal school bus crash in Plainfield have been identified.
WBAY-TV in Green Bay is reporting that the 6 year old killed in a bus stop crash on Monday is Maryana Kranz. The victim’s sister, a 4-year-old, was also injured. She has been treated and released from an area hospital.
Waushara County sheriffs have identified the driver from the crash as 76-year-old Carl Mullenix.
A Tuesday press release from the Waushara County Sheriffs Department read in part, “It appears that Mullenix was driving on the shoulder of the road when the pedestrians were struck. The stopped bus had its required lights activated at the time of the incident.” Police believe the car was trying to pass on the right of the bus.
