MARSHFIELD, WI (WSAU) — In Marshfield, the city’s Convention and Visitors Bureau is changing it’s name to ‘Visit Marshfield,’ and the group’s executive director Matt McLean says that also means a new logo, and a new branding campaign – ‘Marshfield Made New’ – to tie Marshfield’s historic past, to its future.
“We’re really trying to tell a story about the older things in Marshfield that are being made new through care,” McLean explained. “And that Marshfield is a city that pays homage to its past while looking to its future.”
And of course, McLean said, there’s a new website. “We are launching the website live today. It’s been a full redesign, and it’s a very clean, simple, easy to use website and we’re proud to show off Marshfield with it.”
That new website was designed to be especially smart phone friendly, and to help visitors navigate from locations like Marshfield Clinic to the city’s hotels, restaurants, and entertainment destinations.

Changes embrace the past while focusing on the future
MARSHFIELD, Wis. (January 9, 2020) — Visit Marshfield is excited to unveil the Marshfield Made New brand and new tourism website, visitmarshfield.com!
The site is a carefully curated nod to Marshfield’s storied past, while looking forward to the future, and highlighting everything that has been so thoughtfully reinvented in the area.
“The past is ever-present here in Marshfield,” said Matt McLean, Executive Director of Visit Marshfield, formerly the Marshfield Convention & Visitors Bureau. “From antique stores and restaurants that make their homes in downtown’s historic buildings to long-running events like Dairyfest and the Central Wisconsin State Fair, it’s our history that draws visitors in, and our new creative twists that keep them coming back.” Other recent additions to the area include the newly expanded Floyd & Pat Hamus Cougar Exhibit and new Welcome Center at Wildwood Zoo, and the now-under-construction Hampton Inn & Suites near the Marshfield Medical Center.
The website, part of the overall Marshfield Made New brand launch, was created to pique the interest of potential travelers to the area, and offers a host of useful tools for anyone looking to visit Marshfield. Users will find listings for hotels & motels, stores and restaurants that can be sorted by business type and other criteria, and useful information for out-of-town visitors coming to the Marshfield Medical Center.
“We wanted the site to be especially useful for people traveling to the Marshfield Medical Center,” said McLean. “So you’ll see the distances from shops and restaurants to the center listed clearly throughout the website.”
There are also itineraries to help travelers discover what to see and do, including local art attractions and activities, an up-to-date events calendar featuring concerts, festivals and fairs and information on indoor recreation, parks & trails.
“We hope people visit the site and are able to see how Marshfield’s past is made new through care, and can see our bright future,” said McLean. “Whether you’re grabbing dinner at the Blue Heron Brewpub, housed in a former ice cream factory, or checking out larger-than-life sculptures crafted from scrap metal at Jurustic Park, there’s so much that’s made new in Marshfield and we can’t wait to show it off!”
In conjunction with the new website, Visit Marshfield has also launched the Marshfield Made New Sweepstakes, with a grand prize of a two-night stay in an executive suite at Hotel Marshfield and $300 in chamber gift certificates.
