RACINE, WI (WSAU) — Several people were shot during a funeral service at a Racine cemetery on Thursday.
Police say it happened as Da’Shontay King, Senior was being laid to rest in the facility. One person was reportedly treated at the scene for injuries, another was flown to a hospital in Milwaukee.
Officers have confirmed that at least two people were injured in the incident, including one victim who was airlifted to a hospital in Milwaukee. Another was treated and released from a nearby hospital.
Witnesses say there were as many as 20 or 30 shots fired in the incident. Officers are still searching for a suspect or suspects in the case.
King was shot and killed by police two weeks ago. Officers say his actions made deadly force necessary.
