TOWN OF AUBURNDALE, WI (WSAU) — One person is dead after a two-vehicle crash involving a van and a flatbed wrecker on Sunday afternoon.
Sheriff’s officers say the van was struck as it was heading eastbound on County Road Y. The vehicle was proceeding through a stop sign at the intersection with County Road M when it was struck by the flatbed wrecker.
At least one passenger in the van was killed at the scene. An undisclosed number of other passengers were injured.
Names of those involved in the crash are expected to be released Monday evening. The incident remains under investigation.
Numerous first responders from Marshfield, Stratford, and Auburndale responded to the incident along with the State Patrol.
