WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — Its life without the possibility of parole for the woman accused of killing her husband in 2006.
Cindy Schulz-Juedes was sentenced Wednesday morning in a Marathon County courtroom after she was found guilty last fall of killing Ken Juedes in 2006.
Prosecutors say she shot him to get at nearly $1 million in assets including land and life insurance money, pointing at her lack of remorse following Ken’s death and what they believe was a falsified last will.
Schulz-Juedes’ defense team had tried to pin the crime on a group of five other men who they say committed the crime over the sale of a race track and to keep Juedes quiet about possible illegal drug activity.
One of those men was actor Butch Patrick Lilley, who played Eddie Munster on the CBS sitcom The Munsters. He said he learned about his supposed involvement in the plot through the supermarket tabloids.
Lilley did take the stand to testify in the trial.
Because of the first-degree homicide charge, the life sentence for Schulz-Juedes was a given. The only possibility was parole, which Judge Michael Moran did not grant.
She was also sentenced to nine months in jail on a count of obstructing an officer, which will run concurrently with the life sentence.
