The Wausau Woodchucks (13-13) rocked the Green Bay Rockers (8-18) with a final score of 3-1, finalizing a two-game sweep. Stellar pitching shined throughout the game as Aiden Major (West Virginia) gave up only three hits and one run through six full innings of work on the mound.
Kevin Kilpatrick (Houston) started the bottom of the second inning with a bang, driving a single to left field. After two clutch stolen bases by Kilpatrick, Ryan Sepede (BYU) walked to put runners at the corners. The Rockers attempted to throw out the stealing Sepede but lost control of the wild throw allowing Kilpatrick to sneak into home, giving the Chucks their first run of the game.
Major held solid for the Chucks throughout the game, giving up just one run in the top of the 6th. The Woodchucks answered with a rocket of a two-run home run by Brock Watkins (BYU) to extend the Chucks’ lead to 3-1. Nate Madej (Central Florida) came in to replace Major on the mound during the top of the 7th, giving up only one hit to the Rockers.
Mike Reagan (Barry) came in to pitch in the 8th inning to record the last six outs of the game in two three-up three-down innings to sweep up the Rockers in the series finale.

Hayden Birdsong (Eastern Illinois University) had the win on the mound throwing four scoreless innings with six strikeouts giving up only three hits. Matthew Deprey (Xavier University) and Garrett Martin (Oklahoma State University) both had two hits with an RBI each. Aidan Longwell (Kent State University) had the only triple of the night along with a walk.
The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders split the series against the Kalamazoo Growlers 11-8. Grant Hussey (West Virginia University) earned Northwoods League Player of the Night with three hits including two doubles, a home run and six RBI. Cash Rugely (Kansas State) had two walks, a hit by pitch and a stolen base scoring twice along with one RBI. Alex Vera (University of Illinois) had the win on the mound throwing two innings with four strikeouts and did not allow a run to score.
Traverse City Pit Spitters 11, Kokomo Jackrabbits 4
The Traverse City Pit Spitters won the series against the Kokomo Jackrabbits 11-4. The Pit Spitters scored six runs in the third innings with RBI singles from Jakob Marsee (Central Michigan University), Jake Smallwood (University of Montevallo) and an RBI double from Trey Truit III (North Carolina State University). Marsee and Truit III both had three RBI on the night. Aren Gustafson (Olivet Nazarene University) had the win on the mound throwing the first five innings with three strikeouts giving up only three hits.
Rockford Rivets 3, Kenosha Kingfish 1
The Rockford Rivets took game two of the series to split the series against the Kenosha Kingfish 3-1. Brody Harding (University of Illinois) led the offense with two hits and an RBI. Cam McDonald (University of Illinois) and Brandon Bannon (University of Illinois at Springfield) both had one hit with a stolen base each. Ricky Castro (Purdue University) had the win on the mound throwing seven innings with four strikeouts giving up two hits and allowing only one run to score.
Madison Mallards 2, Battle Creek Battle Jacks 0
The Madison Mallards bounced back to defeat the Battle Creek Battle Jacks 2-0. Josh Caron (University of Nebraska) led the team with three hits and two doubles scoring twice as he reached base. Christian Rivera (Erskine College) went two for three with a walk. Dan Wright (Iowa Western Community College) earned Northwoods League Pitcher of the Night throwing eight scoreless innings with nine strikeouts. Steven Lacey (Delta State University) closed the last inning with two strikeouts and no hits.
La Crosse Loggers 4, Mankato MoonDogs 2
The La Crosse Loggers split the two game series against the Mankato MoonDogs 4-2. Josh Stevenson (Louisiana State University) started the first inning off with a single for his first hit of the game. He later scored on a sac fly by Carson Hornung (University of South Carolina). Hornung had two RBI with one hit. Coby Morales (University of Washignton) had two hits with a double and two RBI. Matthew Linskey (Rice University) started the game throwing four innings with six strikeouts.
Waterloo Bucks 4, Duluth Huskies 2
The Waterloo Bucks rallied to split the series against the Duluth Huskies 4-2. Jake Wilhoit (Davidson College) drove in the first two runs followed by a two run home run by Liam Critchett (Loyola Marymount University) in the sixth inning. Tai Walton (University of Hawaii) had the only triple of the game scoring as he reached third. Keaton Parker (Upper Iowa University) pitched the first six innings to earn the win on the mound throwing six strikeouts.
Willmar Stingers 4, St.Cloud Rox 3
The Willmar Stingers took the series at they defeated the St.Cloud Rox 4-3. The Stingers rallied to win the game with a walk off single by Will Safford (Louisiana State University). Safford had two hits, a walk and one RBI. Joey Walls (University of Nevada, Las Vegas) and Drey Dirksen (Augustana University) both had solo home runs to add to the score. Jack Habeck (St. Cloud State University) threw the first six innings with four strikeouts. John Bezdicek (Kennesaw State University) had the win as he closed the game throwing two innings with five strikeouts.
Eau Claire Express 5, Rochester Honkers 1
The Eau Claire Express won the series as they took the second game against the Rochester Honkers 5-1. Trevor Haksins (Stanford University) had two hits with a double in the second inning. Reed Latimer (University of Montevallo) and Sam Hunt (Vanderbilt University) both had two hits as well with an RBI each. Trey Felker (University of Montevallo) started the game and had the win on the mound throwing six innings with seven strikeouts and allowed one run to score.
Bismarck Larks 3, Minnesota Mud Puppies 2
The Bismarck Larks took the fourth game of the series against the Minnesota Mud Puppies 3-2. Dylan Perry (Kaskaskia College) led the offense with two hits, a double and one RBI. Kai Hori (College of San Mateo) and A.J Barraza (California State University, San Bernardino) had the other two RBI of the night to put the Larks ahead. Garret Yawn (Long Island University – Brooklyn) had an outstanding performance on the mound striking out 10 batters in six innings.
