Milwaukee Brewers
PITTSBURGH, PA (WSAU) — Aaron Ashby lost his sixth contest of the season in a 7-4 Pirates win over Milwaukee on Saturday.
The Brewers’ starter allowed four runs on five hits, failing to make it out of the 4th inning before he was pulled. A trio of relievers then finished off the final 4.1 innings of work.
Four Milwaukee hitters recorded two knocks in the game including Andrew McCutchen and Kolten Wong. Jace Peterson also had two hits including a double. Christian Yelich and Wong both homered.
Despite the loss, Milwaukee remains ten games above .500 at 45-35. They’ll close out the series with Pittsburgh this afternoon, pregame coverage begins at noon on WSAU.
