MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU)
The DC Everest girls soccer team will play of the WIAA D-1 Championship today after holding off Menominee Falls 4-3 at Uihlein Soccer Park in Milwaukee on Friday night.
The two teams scored five goals in the final 15 minutes. Maddie Mittelsteadt and Bri Widmar each scored twice for the Evergreens. Widmar got the evntual game winner on a free kick in the 89th minute.
A free kick for Menominee Falls got them a chance late and the ball went in the net but was ruled after the whistle and the Evergreens celebrated.
Everest will play Kettle Moraine for the D-1 title today at 5pm. We will have reports from the game on Foxsports Radio AM1390 & FM 93.9.
