MADISON, WI (WSAU) The Wisconsin Badgers basketball team started their holidays with a rout of Florida A&M, 90-37.
Vitto Brown had 11 points and 8-rebounds.
He and his family also sang the national anthem before the game. Members of his family formed the singing group Shades of Brown.
Badgers back-up D’Mitrik Trice had14 points. Bronson Koenig, who played the most of any Badgers’ starter at 22 minutes, had 8 points. Leading by 38 early in the second half, the Badgers played only reserve players for the rest of the game.
The Badgers are ranked 14th and improved their record to 11-2. Florida A&M had lost 10 straight games. Of their 2-11 record, their only victories have come against non-division one opponents.
They’ll begin Big Ten play on Tuesday night with a home game against Rutgers.
