MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — The Milwaukee Brewers selected three college players on the first day of the Major League Baseball draft.
With their first-round pick, the 27th overall, they selected shortstop Eric Brown out of Coastal Carolina. The 21-year-old batted .330 with seven home runs this season. He was scouted as one of the best college shortstops available.
In the second round, Milwaukee added another power arm via pitcher Jacob Misiorowski out of Crowder Junior College in Missouri. The 6′ 7″ fireballer, who can throw 100 MPH was taken with the 63rd overall pick.
They also landed Robert Moore, an infielder from the University of Arkansas with the 73rd overall pick. He doesn’t turn 21 until next March and projects as a second baseman. He’s the son of Kansas City Royals GM Dayton Moore
