WAUSAU, WI (WAOW-WSAU) — The Wausau Police Department has arrested two men in connection with Tuesday morning’s break-in and theft at Fleet Farm.
Anthony Jurgenson, 17, and 18-year-old Tyrese Merriam were arrested at about 12:30 PM, about twelve hours after police arrived at the store to find forced entry and some missing items.
According to a news, release police recognized one of the men in the video from prior incidents. The getaway car also matched the description of a vehicle associated with one of the suspects.
Police arrested Jurgenson and Merriam in the 400 block of West Street. They also recovered two air-powered pellet guns and various other items believed to have been stolen from the store.
Charges of burglary, criminal property damage, and theft are recommended. Both men are being held in the Marathon County Jail on probation holds at this time.
Police said there is damage to both the inside and outside of the store.
