MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WSAU) — The Milwaukee Brewers couldn’t extend their two-win streak to three and lost to the Houston Astros 6-4 at Miller Park.
Milwaukee’s opening day starter Wily Peralta had trouble on the mound once again and was pulled from the game in the fifth inning. In under nine innings of work this season, Peralta has allowed 10 runs.
Astros left fielder Colby Rasmus hit his first two home runs of the season off of Peralta, one in the first and and a two-run slam in the fifth. Rasmus is coming off a 2015 season of 25 homers.
Tyler White and Scooter Gennett each hit their third home run on the season for the Brew Crew. Blaine Boyer, Tyler Cravy, Chris Capuano, and Michael Blazek all pitched in relief of Peralta and did not allow another run, but the damage had been done and the Brewers could not mount a comeback.
The series finale from Miller Park kicks off this afternoon with pre-game coverage starting at 12:35 p.m. on WSAU.
