WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — A West Bend man reached a plea agreement on charges that he participated in the beating of a Wausau man back in May of 2021.
Kevin Weston reached the agreement one day before his trial was scheduled to start.
Weston and Trey Houghtaling were charged with severely beating a 52-year-old man outside a Schofield restaurant. It’s not been reported as to why the beating occurred.
Weston was facing a felony charge of substantial battery in the case. The terms of his plea agreement were not released. The 40-year-old will be sentenced on September 8th.
Houghtaling had earlier pleaded no contest to the charges and he can avoid a felony charge if he stays out of trouble for one year.
