MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — The first grand slam of Travis Shaw’s career was not enough to prevent the Milwaukee Brewers from falling to the Los Angeles Dodgers 10-8 on Saturday.
Jesus Aguilar and Hernan Perez had solo homers of their own for the Brewers, who have lost a second close game to the NL first-place Dodgers. Starting Milwaukee pitcher Matt Garza only pitched four innings and left with a bruised chest.
The Brewers led by three runs heading into the ninth, but the Dodgers’ Chris Taylor put LA ahead for good with a grand slam of his own off of inconsistent Brewers closer Carlos Torres.
The Brew Crew will try to avoid a sweep Sunday afternoon. Coverage starts at 12:35 p.m. on the Brewers Radio Network.
