GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – The Packers defense was solid, and the Bills offense looked inept. The Packers notched their first shutout since October of 2010 in a 22-0 home win.
The Bills came crashing back to earth after a stunning upset of the Vikings a week ago. They’d been blown out in their two earlier game this season.
Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen was a lackluster 16-for-33 passing, and was intercepted twice. His quarterback rating was a lowly 36.3.
Aaron Rodgers was 22-of-40 passing with one touchdown and one interception. His quarterback rating was 76.9.
The Packers played from in front the entire game, as Rogers connected with Jimmy Graham for a 3-yard touchdown throw on a rub play near the goal line. Aaron Jones (60 yards rushing) added another touchdown before halftime on a 3-yard run.
Mason Crosby, who missed an extra point in the first half, was 3-for-3 on field goal ties. He made kicks from 52, 36, and 52-yards.
The Packers defense played its best game of the season, limiting the Bills to only 145 yards of total offense and recording 7 sacks.
Green Bay improves to 2-1-1 this year, and will travel to Detroit for a noon game next Sunday.
