MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) –The Cincinnati Reds scored five runs in the first inning and went on to beat the Milwaukee Brewers 8-2 on Friday night at American Family Field.
Milwaukee’s only runs came on a two-run homer from Tyrone Taylor in the 3rd.
Jason Alexander took th loss giving up five runs on nine hits in 5.1 innings.
The Brewers lost ground as both the Padres and Phillies won. They are 3 1/2 back in the wild card chase and will face the Reds again tonight…we will join the Brewers broadcast after the Badger game on WSAU.
The Brewers also placed pitcher Freddy Peralta on the 15 day IL with wight shoulder inflammation. They activated Justin Topa to take Peralta’s spot
