WHITEWATER, WI (WSAU) — The UWSP baseball team dropped 3 of 4 games at Whitewater this weekend.
On Friday it was a split the Warhawks taking game 1 6-0 and the Pointers banging out a 12-8 win in the nightcap.
Aaron Simmons had four hits on the day. Payton Nelson had his second home run of the season as part of a three hit day. He also scored four runs. Christian Zamudio had four hits and two rbis.
Cole Erickson picked up the win in game 2 going 7 1/3 innings with 10 strikeouts.
On Saturday it was a Whitewater sweep 13-3 and 10-1.
Nelson and Zamudio had two hits apiece. Will Iloncaie had two rbis.
The Pointers, now 24-12, 15-7 in WIAC, finish regular season play with a 1pm doubleheader today( Monday) hosting UW-Oshkosh.
