MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — Milwaukee Brewers closer Devin Williams will be part of the US roster for the World Baseball Classic that will be played during spring training.
The 28 year old becomes the 3rd Brewers player to earn a WBC roster spot since the tournament began. Ryan Braun and Jonathon Lucroy played before.
The opening round of the tournament will from March 11-15 and will be played at Chase Field in Phoenix. The rest of the tournament will be played in Miami.
The Brewers will host a yet-to-be determined WBC team for a spring training game on March 8th.
