PEORIA, AZ (WSAU) — The Milwaukee Brewers gave up seven runs in the 3rd inning and fell to the San Diego Padres 9-0 on Tuesday.
Milwaukee managed only a Logan Morrison single to avoid a perfect game from Padre pitchers.
Shelby Miller started and threw two scoreless innings for the Brewers. David Phelps came in and did not record an out in the 3rd. Three Milwaukee errors and and Abraham Almonte grand slam broke open the inning.
Brandon Woodruff is scheduled to pitch today as the Brewers take on the Chicago White Sox.
