LANDOVER, MD (WSAU) — The Washington Commanders ran off 20 unanswered points at one point Sunday in a 23-21 win over Green Bay in Week seven action.
Green Bay scored first thanks to a strike from Aaron Rodgers to Aaron Jones from four yards out. They took a 14-10 lead into the halftime break thanks to a pick-six from De’Vondre Campbell.
That lead wouldn’t last past the third quarter as the Commander rattled off a touchdown and two field goals before Green Bay closed out the scoring with another touchdown pass to Aaron Jones, this one from 21 yards out.
Rodgers finished the day 23/35 for 194 yards and two scores. Jones rushed for 23 yards and caught nine passes for 53 yards and two TDs. Allen Lazard added six receptions for 55 yards.
Campbell recorded seven tackles and three assists in addition to his interception which was returned for a TD. Rasul Douglas added five stops.
Green Bay falls to 3-4 on the season and remains in second place in the NFC North behind the Minnesota Vikings, who had a bye this week. They travel to Buffalo next Sunday for a Sunday Night showdown with Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills. Packers Preview begins at 5 PM on WSAU, kickoff is set for 7:20.
