ROSEMONT, IL (WSAU) — The Big Ten Conference has finalized the pieces of its 2023 football schedule.
In addition to six games against Big Ten West Division opponents, the Wisconsin Badgers have drawn Ohio State, Rutgers, and Indiana to complete their nine-game league slate.
The Badgers will host the Buckeyes and Scarlet Knights and play the Hoosiers on the road.
Other highlights of the Badger’s 2023 Big Ten schedule include three straight West Division games to end the regular season beginning November 11th at home against Northwestersn, November 18th at home against Nebraska, and at the University of Minnesota on November 25th.
Wisconsin’s three non-conference games will once again be played in weeks 1-3. The season opens with a home game against the University of Buffalo Bulls on Sept 2nd, 2023. Week two will see the Badgers travel to Washington State on 9/7, and Week Three brings Georgia Southern to Camp Randall on September 16th.
Also on Wednesday it was revealed that Wisconsin has made a scheduling change for the 2025 season. Middle Tennessee State’s Blue Raiders have been added for a game at Camp Randall on September 6th, replacing the University of North Texas.
UNT and UW canceled that contract with no penalty to either side, per a report from FBSchedules.com. That same report indicates MTSU will get a guaranteed $1.2 million payday for visiting the Badgers.
Wisconsin’s non-conference schedule for 2025 also includes Miami University of Ohio and the Alabama Crimson Tide.
For those intrested in planning way ahead, the next opening on Wisconsin’s football non-conference schedule isn’t until 2028 when the Badgers are looking for two games in addition to a date with the University of Utah.
