In a normal world this interview would be game, set and match. We, unfortunately don't live in a normal world these days and the US senate is controlled by corrupt people who are not interested in the truth. If Lev Parnas and the other folks like Bolton and Mulvaney are not called to testify under oath during the impeachment trial of Trump than it can be called nothing but a coverup. And if the members of the US Senate, who will swear an oath to perform their duties fairly and impartially ignore the evidence produced or continue to claim there is no “high crime or misdemeanor” then they should all be voted out of office and censured for corruption. Ron Johnson, you've been very visible on television claiming there was no crime committed. I wonder if you know how foolish you sound when you make those claims. I realize you are sending out your BS to the Trump cultists but I wonder why? What kind of hold can these folks have on a man who has already said he won't run for re-election again. Republicans in the Senate should take their cue from the Republicans who served during the Nixon impeachment. They put country over party when they realized the corruption of Tricky Dick. And Trump's behavior and transgressions make Nixon look like a piker. It's pretty simple…the evidence was there before the revelations of the last few weeks…but now…the e-mails…the paper trail…the testimony…it should be a slam dunk. But Mitch McConnell and his greasy minions in the US Senate will ignore the obvious, tell us black is white, and the Trump cultists will nod like Mortimer Snerd and say “yup, yup, yup”. As Trump would say in one of his ridiculous tweets “Sad”.
Congrats to the Doobie Brothers for finally getting into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. You might argue about some of the folks who have been inducted but its hard to argue that this band doesn't belong. My high school years were filled with Doobies music. I bought the album “The Captain & Me” in 1973 and spun it on a regular basis. In 1974, the cafeteria at Wausau East High School had a jukebox. 3 tunes for a quarter. I remember many times that people would put in their coin and play “Black Water” three times. There are very few groups who can claim to have undergone an almost complete metamorphosis midway through their run and get even bigger. But then many groups did not have a powerhouse like Michael McDonald come on board. I like both versions of the band but I will always have a special place for this album
