GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – Packers defensive star Rashan Gary may have suffered a season-ending injury.
The NFL Network and ESPN report that Gary tore his ACL during the Sunday loss to the Lions.
NFL insider Ian Rapoport says he’ll undergo an MRI to determine the extent of the injury. Jeremy Fowler of ESPN tweeted: “Pass rusher Rashan Gary suffered a torn ACL on Sunday vs. Detroit but the player is undergoing MRI to determine full scope of injury, per source. If confirmed, injury would end the season for Gary, who has 6.0 sacks on the year. Team holding out hope.”
Gary left the game in the third quarter and did not return.
It was one of several key injuries during the 15-9 loss in Detroit. Receiver Romeo Dobbs injured his ankle on the Packers first play. Running back Aaron Jones, defensive Back Eric Stokes, receiver Christian Watson, and linebacker Krys Barnes were all hurt.
