One of the most annoying things is sports for me is the idiocy of mock drafts. The idea that people spend inordinate amounts of time on a task that means nothing and usually ( in fact almost always) turn out to be wrong. Entire web-sites are dedicated to this circle-jerk. Hours of air-time are turned over to so-called experts to analyze in what order players will be chosen. Why do we feel the need to pretend we are smarter than the folks who do this for a living? And if you are doing this as a fake process and making a living doing it…ummmm…??? Smart? Dumb? Certainly you have to ask yourself how am I contributing to society, right? I will check in with the draft once in a while and then peruse the picks at the end of the process. I have no interest in guessing before hand and can't quite figure out why anyone else would either.
Baseball stat of the day…The Tampa Bay Rays became the first team since 1970 to have exactly 8 hits in a game that were two singles, two doubles, two triples and two home runs.
Well, Game of Throne-ers…what do you think so far? The big battle scene is this week. Who lives? Who dies? Who is the Night King? What does he really want? Who will eventually kill Cersei? Who ends up on the Iron Throne? So many questions, so little time left. Some fan theories

Quotes Of The Day
“To ensure that Trump's betrayal and obstruction, and the foreign hostility it invites, do not become the new normal in America, he must be held accountable. We must hear Mueller's public testimony and convene House impeachment proceedings.”- Evan McMullin
“I'm convinced that Trump could choose Vladimir Putin as his running mate in 2020 and he wouldn't lose a single vote from his base. They don't care if he loves Russia, as long as he hates people with different color skin and who read the Quran.”-Ed Krassenstein
“The Trump presidency is worse than Watergate because the system worked in Watergate, the heroes of Watergate were Republicans who demanded that the president be held accountable and conducted a bipartisan investigation whereas the current republicans have done everything to undermine legitimate investigation.”-Carl Bernstein
“In Sri Lanka the victims were Christian. In New Zealand last month the victims were Muslim. In Pittsburgh last year the victims were Jewish. If you pray, pray for an end to religious bigotry–and to the violence it inspires.”-Steve Simon
