So, the Hauser brothers are transferring from Marquette. They certainly have that right especially if they are willing to sit out for the 2019-2020 season. I don't know the reasons but it doesnt matter. They can do it if they want. Social media is, of course in an uproar about what this means for the Marquette program and coach Wojo. That the decison came down shortly after Markus Howard said he was returning has to be telling. Wisconsin fans would love to see them in Red and White but that would seem problematic although their old buddy Trevor Anderson is there. I also read that Virginia is a possibilty. Life is too short to spend your college years in a place where you're not happy. Although, it does leave the coach that recruited you out on a limb. I would say this, leave the kids alone on social media. If you feel the need to insult college students over a decision that affects their lives…you really need to examine your own.
The WIAA has a big meeting today that will discuss and vote on many big issues including the “Nicolet Rule” which will deal with pre-existing athletic relationships for transfer players…and the “Deontay Long” rule regarding players with felonies participating in WIAA Tournaments. I believe they will also be voting on Football only conference realignment.
