RUDOLPH, WI (WSAU) — One person has died and another was seriously injured in a rollover crash on State Highway 13/34 near Rudolph.
The Wood County Sheriff’s Office says the vehicle was traveling southbound when the driver veered to the right and into the ditch. The vehicle struck an embankment and went airborne, then came to a rest on its roof.
The driver, identified as 46-year-old Corey Knipple of Wisconsin Rapids was transported to a hospital with unknown injuries. The passenger, 67-year-old Joann Knipple of Wisconsin Rapids, was deceased at the scene.
A third passenger was a juvenile who did have minor injuries. They were taken by ambulance, and will not be identified.
The crash closed Highway 13/34 near County Line road for nearly three hours on Sunday.
