The discussion over the placement of two different books in the Marathon County Public Library system takes center stage during Monday’s Library Board of Trustees meeting.
On Monday the Trustees will consider the placement of two books- Making a Baby by Rachel Greener and You be You! The Kids Guide to Gender, Sexuality, and Family by Jonathan Branfman.
Both books had been challenged by library patrons who said they shouldn’t be kept in the children’s section of the library.
But according to the committees set up to investigate both titles, that’s where they should remain. According to their findings, which are included in Monday’s agenda packet.
The library board has also included more information on how they conduct their investigations with Monday’s packet as well.
The meeting begins at 12:00 noon on Monday and will be held in the second-floor community room of the downtown Wausau branch. Time for public comment has been included at the start of the meeting.
