I have had moments like this, but I know not everyone has. Are you having a one-way conversation with God? Do you feel like you are praying and praying but never get anything back. The odds are, you are not wrong, you ARE having a one-way conversation.
How do you change that? Well, let me ask you a question and please answer honestly. Do you read your bible everyday? If you don't read the bible regularly, you really are having a one-way conversation because you are not allowing God to speak to your mind and heart through his Word.
Sometimes God speaks in a powerful way like with this 13 year old boy, but it usually requires being in Gods word so your heart is soft. Then God will bring to your mind his wisdom when you pray and ask questions. The Godly wisdom is in your brain from reading his word. Even when you read for months and feel like it is not speaking to you. If you keep up with it, God will speak to you. It can happen when you least expect it, but usually when you really need it.
Do not expect God to give you constant supernatural moments like this boy Logan had. God makes it special, and you will look back and realize how awesome it was to feel God's personal touch in your life.
In conclusion, if you are having a one-way conversation with God, don't wag your finger at God, look at what you need to do. Take the mute button off Gods Word and see what happens.
