If you went to public school or attended a university, you
would come away thinking the United States of America is one of the most racist Nations to ever exist. Actually, the exact opposite is true. America is the
least racist Nation to ever exist.
Minorities in America have been welcomed since its founding.
America was known as The Melting Pot because many different cultures from
around the world became one culture in America. Minorities have succeeded in
America better than any other country in the world.
You may be thinking, okay what about slavery then? Slavery is actually the best example of how
the United States of America was and is the least racist country in the world.
Before America was a nation, slavery existed on its shores.
The reason is simple, slavery was accepted around the world as normal. When our founding fathers were forging this
country, they knew they could not take on the battle of slavery and fight a
revolution at the same time. So they
gave equal rights to all men through the Constitution in the hopes that this
issue would be addressed later on.
The question should never be, why did America have
slavery? The question should be, why did
America END slavery?
No other country in the history of the world had its
citizens put their lives on the line to free slaves. This is an extraordinary
event that changed the world. America has always been the country that stood up
against slavery, and continues to stand up against slavery to this day.
Think about this as well, there's no such thing as the
American race. That's because America is made up of every race in the entire
world.
How can a country with the most freedom for minorities be
called the most oppressive to minorities? How can a country that believes in
Equal justice under the law be accused being the most unjust?
How come every minority around the world still wants to come
to America? If it was a racist country that is against them, why would they
even want to come here?
How come all the people who decry oppression and racism in
America never leave this country for another?
America truly is the least racist Nation to ever exist. Does America get praised for this
accomplishment? Nope. Why Doesn’t America receive praise for the wonderful
things that it has done? There's a simple
answer to that question, but you will have to read my blog tomorrow to find out
what it is.
